MARSHALL, Mo. — A regular meeting of the Marshall City Council is shaping up to be a short one Monday evening.
A tentative agenda lists only a small number of items of business. Discussion regarding a change in a section of city code regarding drinking in public and the closure of Lafayette Ave. from Arrow St. to Morgan St. on June 15 of this year for a public event will be brought forward.
Chemical lawn treatment bids will also be explored by council members.
An ordinance approving a lease contract between the city and the Missouri State Corn Husking Championships will also be discussed before council moves to a closed, executive session.
The Marshall City Council will gather in council chambers of the Marshall City Office Building at 6:00 p.m. Monday.
