MARSHALL, Mo.- The Marshall City Council gathered last night for their first meeting of the month and voted on two proposed ordinances.

One ordinance the council approved was the execution of a contract between the city and Digital Ally Inc. for the provision of purchasing body cameras for the Marshall Police Department. The contract includes the terms of initial payment of $15,000 for the purchase of 25 cameras with one additional lease payment of $5,875.79 plus additional sums in the contract.

Second ordinance allows council members to participate in council meetings via video conference up to four times within the calender year.

After Mayor Mark Gooden made some reccomendations for board appointments the meeting adjourned. The Marshall City Council will gather again February 20th at the same time in the city buildings.
