Click to hear KMZU’s Mike Stone speak with Marshall City Administrator Connie Latimer:
The Marshall City Council met in regular session last week and heard committee reports that included information on the number of building permits for the month of November which were up considering the time of year. “The value of construction was valued at over $1 million, so that’s pretty good for November,” said Latimer, “A lot of that is new, single family residential with 65% and then we had some roofs and a storage business.”
Action was taken during the session to appoint Joshua Taylor as the city’s new counselor. “Don Stouffer has been our counselor now for 34 years,” said Latimer, “He will become full-time prosecutor after the first of the year.”
Taylor will begin his duties on the first of January.
Council will next meet on the 15th of this month.
