MARSHALL – Students at Marshall High School protested for a second day on Friday to voice their frustration after a student was allegedly raped at a party after prom on April 30.

ABC-17 reports Marshall police opened an investigation into the incident on Thursday, but shared no other details as the case involves a juvenile. Students say they no longer feel safe at school and are demanding action.

A statement from Marshall Public Schools issued Thursday says “The district has no jurisdiction in these types of incidents, but does take seriously the disruption of the educational process within and outside the building, whether during the regular school day, and before and after school, and will take the necessary steps to maintain a safe environment for students and adults.”
