A Marshall man and child were injured in a one vehicle accident in Pettis County Friday evening. According to the Highway Patrol, the accident occurred around 6:30, when Nathaniel Casey, 41, was Westbound on Highway 52, just East of Meyers Road and he fell asleep at the wheel. The vehicle traveled off the roadway, down an embankment and struck a tree. Casey and his passenger, Kasumai Casey, 3, were taken by private vehicle to an unknown hospital after the investigation.
