SALINE COUNTY, Mo. — A Marshall man is accused of multiple felonies after a motorcycle crash in Saline County Wednesday.
Court documents suggest law enforcement observed Gary W. Henke, 57, traveling north on 65 Highway at 6:06 p.m. Wednesday. Officers were informed Henke has three active warrants out for his arrest.
Henke sped away while police tried conducting a traffic stop. During the one-and-a-half mile long pursuit, Henke crashed his motorcycle into a ditch. He was then apprehended after trying to run away from officers.
During the arrest, police found drugs and drug paraphernalia on his person. Drugs found on Henke are known by officers to be ecstasy, LSD and marijuana. Henke is facing formal felony charges of possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest by fleeing along with misdemeanors of exceeding the posted speed limit, possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Henke is in custody at the Saline County Jail on a $20,000 cash only bond with conditions.
