(UPDATE 01/12/17 2:31 p.m.)- The trial against Nicholas Bradshaw, 26, of Maryville, Mo., for a child neglect death in December 2014, concluded with a sentencing today in Nodaway County Circuit Court.
According to online court records, Bradshaw entered a guilty plea in November of 2016. Today, he was sentenced to 7 years in Missouri Department of Corrections.
Bradshaw plead guilty to first-degree involuntary manslaughter in the death of a 10-month old boy he was babysitting.
NODAWAY COUNTY, Mo. – A Maryville man pleaded guilty Monday, to involuntary manslaughter in the death of a 10 month old boy.
The trial of Nicholas Bradshaw, 26, was to begin Monday morning, for the child neglect death in December of 2014. Bradshaw was babysitting the child before he told the parents he fell while carrying the child. Medical records indicate the infant died of abusive head trauma caused by shaking.
Bradshaw faces up to seven years in prison at his sentencing hearing scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on January 12, 2017.
