LIVINGSTON COUNTY, Mo. — A fire was reported Friday morning in Livingston County.
According to a press release from the Chillicothe Fire Department, the Hale Fire Protection District requested mutual aid from the Chillicothe Fire Department for a fully involved structure fire located at 22124 Highway 65.
Officials were dispatched at 9:41 a.m. Friday and arrived just before 10 a.m. Hale Fire requested a tanker and personnel to help control the fire. When officials arrived, the residence was observed to be engulfed in heavy flames consuming the entire structure.
There was no one in the residence at the time of the fire, according to Livingston County fire officials. Carrollton Fire and North Central Carroll County Fire Protection Districts assisted with fighting the fire. Chillicothe Fire Department reported used 2,000 gallons of water on the structure.
No one was injured in the fire. The cause of the blaze is currently under investigation.
The home is reportedly a total loss.
