COLE COUNTY, Mo. — A medical issue caused a driver in Cole County to drive off the roadway before striking another vehicle Wednesday.
At 3:20 p.m. Wednesday, Troop F of Missouri State Highway Patrol was dispatched to Rainbow Drive, east of Hunters Run Road. Upon arrival, they discovered that a Jefferson City native, Heather Williams, 39, suffered a medical issue, causing her to drive her vehicle off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle then ran into two mailboxes before striking the rear of a vehicle being driven by Patsy Dresselhaus, 63 and also of Jefferson City.
Dresselhaus reported no injuries, but Williams was transported by ambulance to SSM St. Mary’s Hospital, in Jefferson City. .
