CHARITON, MO – A hearing Tuesday afternoon in Chariton County continues a case against a Mendon man.

Charges were filed from May this year against James W. Pleasant, 45, after he reportedly drove onto a flooded road. He is charged with involuntary manslaughter in the death of Alicia Meyer, a disabled passenger who became submerged with the vehicle.

The hearing is at 1:30 p.m.
