TIPTON, Mo.- A vehicle stop in Tipton led to the arrest of two area individuals in Moniteau County on felony drug allegations.

According to a release, on Monday, July 9, deputies and officers with the Tipton Police Department, stopped a vehicle inside Tipton on a report of a suspicious activity. Upon making contact with the vehicle occupants deputies obtained a consent to search. Deputies ultimately located marijuana, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Roberto Oropeza, 23, of Russellville, and Kathryn Swafford, 40, of Tipton were taken into custody on charges of possession of a controlled substance. Both were transported to the Moniteau County Jail and remain in custody in lieu of $25,000 bonds pending future court dates.
