KANSAS CITY, MO – One of five area residents charged as part of a meth distribution ring was convicted by a federal jury according to a news release Friday.
A federal indictment, August 29, charged Jackie Shelledy, 56, of Sedalia, with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and prescription opioids. Evidence indicated Shelledy sold meth and opioids to Teresa Wolfe, also of Sedalia, who distributed the drugs to several other co-defendants. A sentencing hearing has not been scheduled. Shelledy is subject to a minimum sentence of 10 years in prison.
