LIVINGSTON COUNTY, Mo. — A crash on eastbound 36 Highway early Thursday morning injured a Milan resident.

According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, troopers were called to eastbound U.S. 36 Highway, a mile west of Chillicothe around 3:50 a.m. Thursday.

A vehicle operated by 34-year-old Lynsey N. Wyant, of Milan was traveling east when it ran off the north side of the highway before striking a guardrail and traveling across both eastbound lanes of 36.

Wyant then struck a second guardrail with her vehicle’s front bumper before coming to rest on the shoulder.

Wyant was not injured in the accident, however a passenger, 34-year-old Ricky A. Pauley, sustained moderate injuries. The report alleges Pauley was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Pauley was taken by ambulance to Hedrick Medical Center to be treated.
