The City of Milan is planning to sell bricks at the Old Timers Festival at the end of the month. The organization is raising money for construction of a new amphitheater. Click to hear KMZU’s Sarah Scott talk with City Administrator Jim Onello:
Onello said purchasing a brick is a good way for residents to contribute to the community and be recognized for their involvement in the city’s restoration “We want to generate some income to defray the cost of the amphitheater and provide residents an opportunity to have their name on a brick that will be installed on the east and north sides of the stage.”
Bricks can be purchased for about $50 or $60. The total estimated cost of the amphitheater is $52,000. A completion date has not yet been determined. For more information contact the Milan City Clerk at (660) 265-4491.
