The Missouri Department of Conservation will host, “Discover Nature Girls Camp,” to teach young Missouri girls how to enjoy outdoor activities in a fun safe way. This will be a three day, two night camp in which the girls will participate in archery, firearm safety and shooting, fishing, canoeing and water safety. The MDC will provide all the gear and equipment for these events and the girls will get a hands-on experience to learning.
While the girls are there, the MDC Hunter Education class will be offered and all classes and events are taught by knowledgeable instructors.
The camp will be held at Camp Palestine near Chilhowee, Missouri from June 16-18, 2015. This is a free camp, but is limited to only 32 girls, ages 11 to 15. Although, registration isn’t due until March 31, 2015, it will be on a first come first serve basis, so register early to be ensure a spot.
