Missouri ranks as one of the top five states when it comes to the population of the bald eagle and from late November through February, Missouri’s winter eagle watching is nothing short of spectacular. Joe Jerek, spokesperson for the Missouri Department of Conservation explains why the Iconic Bird selects Missouri to spend its’ winters.

Jerek says that folks are able to visit the conservation areas on their own to view the birds, but the conservation department will have actual events dedicated to the birds.
