The Missouri 2015 Legislative Session has come to a close following an active year in Missouri politics. Throughout the legislative session, multiple incidents in the state brought social issues to the spotlight.

Missouri State Representative Dean Dohrman says these events put added pressure on both the House and Senate.

During the final days of the Missouri State Legislative Session, several bills gained approval from the House of Representatives. Among these bills was House Bill 1070, a bill that would allow for statewide military advocacy.

Representative Dohrman says this bill would help protect Missouri’s military facilities.

House Bill 1070 now waits for approval from Governor Nixon before the Legislative Veto Session. Dohrman adds several other key issues in the state are still on the table for the future including unemployment reform.
