JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — The Department of Public Safety released details Friday, September 25, for the Missouri Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission’s public meeting in Kansas City.
The meeting to be held Wednesday, October 7, allows the public to offer suggestions on law enforcement training requirements. The POST Commission is seeking input from the entire public, including law enforcement agencies and officer training centers.
The meeting is schedule to begin at 1:00 p.m. at the Metropolitan Community College Penn Valley Campus.
The public meetings began in August after Governor Jay Nixon called the commission to order. Nixon directed the Commission to deliver new rules in regards to improving the effectiveness of officer training in the state of Missouri.
