MISSOURI — A total of $822, 868 in grants were given to 12 Missouri agricultural groups.

Farmers in Missouri are always evolving and looking for ways to add value to the many different products grown and raised in the state.

According to a press release, the Missouri Value-Added Agriculture grant program fosters new enterprises that contribute to the vitality of rural communities.Two of the 12 projects will turn local crops into meals for Missouri school students and ten projects will look at the feasibility of converting Missouri agricultural products into more valuable end products.
