COLUMBIA, Mo. — The 35th annual Missouri Show Me State Games will wrap up this coming weekend, July 26, 27, and 28, with scheduled competition in 18 different sports, for both Youth and Adults of different ages, with most of the activity taking place in Columbia. The games officially kicked off last Friday with two different Torch Runs, one in Columbia, and one in Jefferson City. The Opening Ceremony was held at the Mizzou Arena later that same evening, and a full slate of competition in numerous sports followed on Saturday and Sunday.
This coming weekend will feature competition in Baseball, Basketball, Bowling, Disc Golf, Youth Football, Gymnastics, Ice Hockey, Mini golf, Mountain Biking, Road Race/Road Walk, Shooting, Soccer, Softball, Youth Tennis, Track and Field, CoEd and Women’s Volleyball, and Ultimate Frisbee Team Competition.
Almost all of the sporting activities are slated to be held in Columbia, except that Ice Hockey will be played in Springfield, with a portion of the Shooting competition scheduled for Hartsburg.
With over 40 sports in total, the Show Me Games have something for Boys and Girls, and Men and Women of all ages.
