The production is called, “She Weeps: an Unquenchable Tale” locally written and performed by the Willard Community Theatre Troupe. Written in response to droughts and threats to water quality, it features many aspects of water including mythological components.
The setting will take place at the newly re-opened, historic Hartsburg Grand Riverstage which has not seen a theatre production since the 1960’s.
The Beneficiary of the proceeds from the production is the Missouri Stream Team Program which has a support group of over 85,000 volunteers devoted to Missouri’s 110,000 miles of streams.
In addition to the play, music performances are also scheduled with several bands and performers.
The First Annual River Pearl Event, featuring unique river pearl jewelry from Missouri jewelers is also scheduled.
Performance times are June 5th and 6th at 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. and on the 6th at 2:00 p.m.
Tickets are $25 and $50 dollars.
