JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — The Missouri State Veterinarian has updated health requirements for exhibiting swine at the Missouri State Fair.

The animals will require health examinations by Department of Agriculture personnel prior to being housed in the swine pavilion.

Allowable entry periods are below:

Market Hogs:

Monday, Aug. 10 | 7 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Tuesday, Aug. 11 | 6 a.m. – 10 p.m.

Wednesday, Aug. 12 | 6 a.m.- 5 p.m.

Breeding Stock:

Saturday, Aug. 15 | 9 p.m. – 11 p.m.

Sunday, Aug. 16 | 6 a.m. – 10 p.m.

Wednesday, Aug. 19 | 6 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Thursday, Aug. 20 | 6 a.m. – 10 p.m.

Any swine that arrives outside those times will be retained within a trailer or assigned quarantine area until they can be examined during the next entry period.
