Missouri’s two Republican U.S. Senators are heavily involved in discussing the upcoming Senate trial of impeachment allegations against President Trump.
Freshman Senator, Josh Hawley, sponsored a bill dismissing charges prior to a Senate Trial. Roy Blunt spoke Tuesday, seemingly against that idea.
Blunt indicated the process in the Senate cannot be a “partisan process that suddenly ends.” That is how he characterized earlier efforts by the House. Blunt did back legislation condemning an alleged lack of transparency and due process surrounding the House impeachment inquiry.
