The Marshall Municipal Utility Company will be testing LED street lighting over the next few years. Click to hear KMZU’s Chelsea Wade talk with Spokesperson Jeff Bergstrom.
The idea is to save on efficiency and maintenance costs associated with maintaining street lighting.
Bergstrom estimates it would save at least $90,000 annually.
The Marshall Municipal Utilities Department has also purchased a flatbed trailer.
Bergstrom says the piece of equipment will help make city projects easier.
The trailer was purchased from Ditch Witch Sales for more than $7,100.00
