“We will take information from the parents and put that info into a computer,'” said White. “The parents will be given a computer disc and a packet of identifiers that they will be able to take home.”
” Should something happen while you are out anywhere, explained White. “You can take the packet to the local police or sheriff’s office and within 90 seconds be put on the Amber Alert system in the area.”
The program is free and open to anyone under 18 years of age. The event is Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Ray County Courthouse in Richmond.
Every child that goes through the program will be registered to win a free bicycle.
