Celebrated every year on or near March 2nd since 1998, NEA’s Read Across America commemorates the birthday of Theodor Seuss Geisel (Dr. Seuss) and calls attention to the critical role of reading in the lives of adults and students alike.
Missouri NEA is sponsoring Cat Tracks 2011, a statewide Cat in the Hat tour to promote the importance of reading to Missouri students. During the week of Feb. 28 through March 4, MNEA President Chris Guinther and Vice President Charles Smith will each lead Cat tours throughout Missouri.
