The Missouri Trappers Association District 8 will hold their annual Fall Rendezvous on the weekend of September 19th at the Jenkins Center on 190 near Chillicothe. Click to hear KMZU’s Mike Stone speak with District 8 Officer and Member Karl Rice.

Officer and Member of District 8 Karl Rice, says everyone interested or just curious about trapping, should attend all three days.

This is a free event open to the public. On Friday, September 19th we will have demonstrations starting at 9 a.m. and run through 4 p.m.,” Rice said.

“There will be demonstrations on how to catch each kind of animal, how to properly take care of them…how to legally trap in Missouri. This will continue on Saturday,” he adds.

Rice also talks about events on the day 2.

We have over thirty vendors coming from around the United States. Mark June is a nationally known trapping leader who puts on quite a demonstration,” Mr. Rice explained.

Additionally we will have Kid’s archery shooting from 8-5 on Saturday by the Missouri Department of Conservation, and all day on Saturday we’ll have an outstanding program on handling fur by the Fur Harvesters,” Rice concludes.

The Kid’s Archery Presentation does require preregistration and is limited to the first 45 registrants. There will also be fun activities including competitions, several demonstrations, vendors and much more.
