MOBERLY, MO – Moberly officers responded to the southbound lanes of US 63 near the Moberly Regional Medical Center in reference to a motor vehicle accident where a vehicle collided with a guard rail.

Investigation revealed a 20-year-old male was southbound driving a 2006 Chevrolet Impala and collided with a guardrail Saturday morning.  The vehicle came to stop in the southbound lane where the subject then left the scene. Another vehicle was southbound driven by A 42-year-old male and collided with the Impala. The driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital. The 20-year-old was later identified and arrested.  Both vehicles sustained major damage and were towed from scene.

The Moberly Police Department declined to release the identity of the suspect until charges were formally filed. They were assisted by the Moberly Fire Department and the Randolph County Ambulance District.
