Press Release:

Producer’s Choice Soy Energy LLC, a company owned by over 300 Missouri investors, announces that it has begun production of biodiesel at its plant in Moberly, Mo.  During the months of March and April the plant processed some 300,000 gallons of biodiesel.

While this is a modest beginning, the staff is quickly learning the art of making good biodiesel, and plans are to expand to a second shift during May.  Management anticipates that a third shift will be added as rapidly as employees can be trained and kinks worked out of the systems.  This will increase the staff from the present 7 full-time employees to 12-15 when 3 shifts per day are working.  The plant will be producing 5-7 million gallons of high quality, domestically produced biodiesel per year within the next few months, with a goal to eventually reach production of 10-12 million gallons per year.  This will replace an equal number of gallons of diesel fuel made from imported oil.

Terry Zintel, and Andy Sprague of Midwest Biodiesel Products, LLC, who have been contracted to plan and supervise renovations to the plant, say they have been particularly impressed with the workmanship and diligence of Plant Manager Joe Youse and his staff who have been working 10-12 hour days, 5-6 days per week since early December to bring the plant on line

PCSE has entered into a management contract with Midwest Biodiesel Products, LLC to provide procurement and marketing as well as other services to PCSE.  Terry has made numerous contacts with potential buyers for the biodiesel to be produced in PCSE’s plant, and has multiple buyers willing to contract for the purchase of PCSE biodiesel.  The company now has product available for them to sample, and they are finding it to be very high quality, ASTM spec fuel.
