MOBERLY, Mo. – Moberly resident, 23 year-old Alshaun O. Oliver, is in custody at Randolph County Jail after allegedly shooting into two Moberly homes. Oliver is being charged with first-degree assault and armed criminal action.

According to a probable cause statement, shell casings were found in the two residences. One victim heard a loud noise around 2 a.m. Later on, she found a bullet casing on her living room floor. She also discovered the bullet came through a window. Another casing was recovered at a nearby residence by police.

A witness stated that Oliver had been seen with a gun the night the shootings occurred. Oliver initially denied involvement in the shooting, but later admitted he shot the gun, according to court documents. He allegedly claimed that his intention was not to make contact with the residence. He then fled the scene, discarding the gun out of the vehicle, which was not found in the police search, according to court documents.

As of May 22, Oliver remains in Randolph County Jail with a $100,000 cash-only bond. No hearings for Oliver have been scheduled yet.
