MOBERLY, Mo.- Randolph County Prosecutor’s office filed formal charges against a Moberly man last week on child pornography allegations.
A probable cause statment indicates the Missouri Highway Patrol was conducting an online file sharing investigation for offenders sharing child pornography back in June of 2016. An IP address was found to be in connection with multiple share folders that contained deviate sexual acts on and by children under the age of 18.
By using public records the IP address was traced and a search warrant was issued. The warrant was served on July 22, 2016, to a residence on Cedar Slopes Loop in Moberly. Jianfei Lin, 27, was identified as the suspect after locating him in the house. Upon further investigation a desktop computer was located with more files of alleged child pornography.
According to online court records, Linn is facing five seperate counts of possession of child pornography.
A $20,000 cash only bond was posted and an arraignment was held yesterday in the case against Lin. Future court dates are currently pending at this time.
