Workzone Awareness Week kicks off nationwide on Monday. Area Engineer Mike McGrath takes a look at some work in the listening area:
In Carroll County, pothole patching, bridge washing, and litter cleanup will be taking place on various routes throughout the week.
Drivers on Route 11 in Chariton County, from Highway 24 to Route E east should be aware of shoulder work Monday and Tuesday. Pavement repair will also be taking place Tuesday and Wednesday on Highway 24 in Chariton County from Route KK to one mile west. Route W be underway on Route W from 129 to Route U Wednesday through Friday.
Bridge maintenance will be performed on Highway 36 East in Livingston County two miles east of Route C. That work is scheduled to run Monday through Wednesday. Bridge maintenance is will also be underway on Highway 65 from 36 to one mile north of Route Z. That work begins Tuesday and should run through the end of the week.
Route 129 in Linn County will be closed part of the day Tuesday and Wednesday. Culvert replacements will shut it down from West Washington Street to Santa Fe Avenue Tuesday and from East 2nd Street to East 4th Street on Wednesday.
