As the summer goes on, so do road projects throughout the area.
MoDOT Area Engineer Tonya Lohman gives a rundown of projects in her district.
In Lafayette County crews will work on I-70 from Johnson Drive to Route 13 for resurfacing. On the I-70 Outer Road crews will re-deck the bridge over the Kansas City Southern Railway in Odessa. Also in Lafayette, crews will work on Route 13 resurfacing and adding shoulders between I-70 and north Business 13 and Route 20 in Higginsville. Crews will also conduct pavement improvements on Route 23 from the Johnson Co. line to the south end of Concordia.
In Pettis County crews will perform pavement improvements on Routes HH and Y. HH work will be from Route 65 to Route 135 east of Sedalia and work on Y will be from the Johnson County line to the west edge of Sedalia. Other maintenance projects in Pettis County include Route AA between Route 127 and Route B, and on Route D between Route FF and Route 65.
In Ray County crews will conduct pavement repair on Route 210 near Route EE, and on Route 10 crews will do joint repair on Business 13 and the Wellington bridges over Route 10. Also in Ray, crews will be doing overlays and chip and seal work on the lettered routes.
And in Saline County pavement improvements will be done to Route 20 from 65 to Route EE west of Marshall. Crews will repair pavement on I-70 in various locations and on the I-70 south outer road crews will do joint repair on the bridge over Davis Creek. Other maintenance will be conducted on the lettered routes.
