State offices are closed Monday in observance of Memorial Day but road crews get busy on Tuesday. Area engineer Mike McGrath gives a list of projects in counties along the Missouri River.
In all counties, crews will be mowing, clearing brush and spraying along minor and major roadways so be on the lookout for MoDOT workers and vehicles on the shoulders.
In Carroll County, sealing will be done Tuesday on Routes NN and HH. Sealing operations continue in Carroll on Routes EE and OO Wednesday plus Route FF Thursday. Sign operations will be conducted all week on various routes.
In Chariton County, sealing crews will work on Route U both Tuesday and Wednesday. On U.S. Hwy 24 at the Mussel Fork Bridge, crews will be doing maintenance Tuesday through Thursday. On various routes in Chariton, drainage work will be performed all week as will culvert replacement which begins on Wednesday. Then on Route W Thursday and Friday, crews will be sealing.
In Daviess County, crews will do pavement repair on I-35 between mile markers 61 and 63 on Tuesday. That work zone will have a 15 foot width restriction in place. Crews will also conduct pothole patching on Route P Tuesday, Routes TT and BB Tuesday through Thursday, Route RA Wednesday, Route V V Thursday and KK Friday. Pavement repair on I-35 will be done all week long, from mile marker 76 to mile marker 72, that work zone will have a 16 foot width restriction. From mile marker 63 to marker 64, pavement repair will be done on Wednesday with a 15-foot width restriction. Also in Daviess County, on Route M from 302nd Street to Waltz Avenue, crews will repair the bridge approach Wednesday through Friday; that zone will have a 16-foot width restriction in place. Also on Thursday, in Daviess, crews will work in the passing lane of Northbound I-35 from mile market 64 to 66.
In Linn County, work on 129 from Route 11 to U.S. Hwy 36 near Bucklin, will consist of striping all week long and includes a 10-foot width restriction. Also in Linn, on various routes all week, crews will be conducting patching, drainage and sign operation.
Work in Livingston County includes pot hole patching on Route A from Route 190 to Route W and on Route U from 190 to Route A, throughout the week.
