A Montrose resident was transported to the hospital after striking the escort vehicle for a wide load.

According to the report filed by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 58-year-old Susan McKim was traveling westbound on Missouri 52 Highway Tuesday morning when, at about 10:10 a.m., she struck the side of an escort vehicle that had stopped in the westbound lane to stop oncoming traffic. The accident occurred roughly one-tenth of a mile west of Route F in Henry County.

The driver of the escort vehicle, 39-year-old Stanley Winn, of Humbolt, Kansas, was uninjured, but McKim was transported by Golden Valley EMS to Golden Valley Hospital.
