JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — A monument to honor the servicemen and women for all past, present and future Missouri State Highway Patrol Troopers will be erected by the Missouri State Highway Patrol Troopers’ Association.

According to a release from the group, the monument will be built in front of the Highway Patrol General Headquarters and Museum in Jefferson city.

Its design and construction is being led by Barbara Mungenast, a nationally recognized sculptor.

A fund set up for this expressed purpose by the Troopers’ Association will provide the funding for the monument.

A timeline for construction has not been provided by the Missouri State Highway Patrol Troopers Association at this time.
