A Norborne man will go before a judge in Carroll County Wednesday on numerous drug charges. Hillis Wheeler, 60, has been charged with possession of a controlled substance and three counts of unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. Wheeler and Matthew Poindexter, 25, were arrested in mid-October.
A counsel status hearing is Wednesday for Osceola Herron, 33, of Marshall. He’s accused of theft/stealing.
The case against a Malta Bend teen continues Wednesday as well. Erik Schrand, 19, was charged in September with unlawful use of a weapon. Reports allege Schrand went to a home in the 100 block of East Lunbeck demanding to speak with a woman. When he was asked to leave the property, Schrand reportedly pulled a knife on the homeowner.
A Slater resident is also due back in court. William Louis Jr., 19, has been charged with unlawful use of a weapon. A Saline County judge denied his attorney’s motion to reduce bond earlier this month. Louis is being held in lieu of $5,000.
