The 25th year of the “Run for the Wall” event began Wednesday.  A group of hundreds of motorcycles will make their way from Rancho Cucamongo, California to Washington D.C.  Click to hear KMZU’s Sarah Scott talk with Roger Ingram, Event Coordinator for the State of Missouri:

Roger Ingram

Ingram said citizens can show support in other ways if they are unable to participate in the run.  “There are overpasses along the way and those are wonderful places to observe.  Residents are encouraged to waive or take a flag.  It lifts up the people and lets them know you are there.  It’s a great way to show your appreciation.”

During their travels the groups will visit a number of VA medical centers, memorials, and VFW Posts.  Motorcyclists are scheduled to arrive in Arlington, Virginia on May 25th.
