PLATTE COUNTY, Mo. — A motorcycle crash Tuesday morning led to injuries for a Tennessee rider.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred in Platte County on Interstate 29 northbound just north of 72nd Street at about 10:25 a.m. Tuesday.

A motorcycle operated by 64-year-old Richard K. Ivey, of White Pine, Tenessee, was traveling north on I-29 when he lost control on wet pavement. The bike then rolled over and ejected Ivey.

He sustained moderate injuries when he was thrown from the motorcycle. Ivey was taken to North Kansas City Hospital to be treated.
