In December President Barrack Obama signed the Omnibus spending package, which funds a majority of the federal budget.  Missing from the legislation was language that would have financed a couple research projects on the Mighty Mo.  Chairman of the Missouri Levee and Drainage District Tom Waters says the “eliminated for now” MRAPS would have reviewed the use of the Mighty Mo… again…

The legislation also provided money for levee repairs.  However, Waters says the dollar dispersal hasn’t been nailed down.

Waters says the Corps will probably have a better idea of the budget sometime before February.
