MISSOURI — The Missouri State Highway Patrol has released the traffic report for the July Fourth holiday counting period.

The patrol reports there was 12 traffic fatalities, zero boating fatalities and three drownings for the period of Wednesday, July 3 to Sunday, July 7.

The patrol responded to 376 traffic crashes which included 139 injuries. Troopers also made 160 DWI arrests and 110 drug arrests over the holiday weekend.

During the 2018 holiday period, four people were killed and 220 injured statewide in 437 traffic crashes. In 2018, troopers arrested 40 people for driving while intoxicated.
