The University of Missouri Extension offers finance workshops called “Make Your Money Count.” The workshops are offered in Carroll, Chariton, and Saline Counties. Trish Savage, MU Extension family financial specialist, said it’s open for all adults and will be one workshop per week over a three week period.
“The first workshop is looking at the issue of money,” Savage said. “Understanding how it impacts our lives and relationships, and ways we can make good decisions on using that money.”
Savage said the workshops build on one another.
“The second workshop is taking control of your finances and it’s going over how you can start your own financial plan,” Savage said. “The third workshop discusses getting organized and you can save time and money with a record keeping system.”
The workshops will begin in Keytesville in Chariton County in the lower-level meeting room of the Chariton County Courthouse, at 306 S. Cherry St. The dates are April 6th, 13th, and 27th.
