COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri Extension specialists headline upcoming 2018 drought management options for beef cattle producers in Randolph, Chariton and Saline counties.
MU Extension livestock specialist Heather Conrow will talk about nitrate toxicity and culling decisions. Agronomy specialist Dhruba Dhakal will discuss pasture management and alternate forage options.
Participants can bring forage plant samples for nitrate testing. Extension specialists will test the nitrate in corn and other forages.
