The University of Missouri Extension Office out of Johnson County will be hosting a Industry Outlook and Risk Management presentation for beef producers. Nate Cahill, the Agricultural Business Specialist for the area explains how this class will benefit beef producers. The class will enlighten producers on information about what direction the beef market is projected to head, according to the Extension’s research. The class will also teach producers about mitigating risk through livestock risk management as well as forage insurance.

The class will take place on Tuesday, May 12, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The cost will be $10 and that includes the material that people will be provided with as well as refreshments. No pre-registration is required, but Cahill does ask that people call ahead, so that the Extension will have an approximate head count.
