CLAY COUNTY, Mo. — A multi-vehicle accident Friday evening in Clay County injured a Kansas City woman.

According to the report from Troop A of the Missouri Highway Patrol, a vehicle driven by Cassandra G. Jarman, 34, of Kansas City was traveling southbound on Interstate 435 at Parvin Road at 4:50 p.m. Friday.

Jarman’s vehicle was then struck in the rear by a second vehicle driven by William D. Brinegar, 18, also of Kansas City, when he attempted to overtake Jarman.

The impact caused Jarman’s vehicle to strike the rear of a third vehicle driven by Nagara K. Marahari, 27, of St. Joseph.

Jarman was transported to Liberty Hospital by Claycomo EMS for treatment of minor injuries.

According to the report, all three drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.
