RICHMOND — Multiple individuals at Richmond Middle School have tested positive for the coronavirus, according to a news release from the Richmond R-XVI School District.
The district was notified of these cases on Wednesday. With the help of the Ray County Health Department, those who were identified as close contacts of the individuals have been notified. If you have not been contacted by the health department or the school district, then your child has not been identified as a close contact.
An exact number of positive cases was not stated in the news release. Maintenance staff will continue to deep clean all buildings. To protect the privacy of the individuals, no further information about anyone who has tested positive for the virus will be released.
