CLAY COUNTY, Mo. — A three-vehicle accident Saturday morning in Clay County was caused by traffic congestion, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Diane Kraft, 57, of Lenexa, Ks., was stopped just before 10:30 a.m. due to traffic on northbound I-35 at mile marker 12.4. A vehicle driven by Robert Noelle, 60, of Olathe, Ks., was slowing when another car driven by Richard Anderson, 79, of Braymer, Mo., was unable to stop and skidded into Noelle’s vehicle. The collision caused Noelle to strike the back of the Mr. Anderson’s vehicle. The patrol says he received minor injuries.
A passenger in Noelle’s vehicle, Julie Anderson, 58, of Olathe, Ks. received minor injuries as well. Noelle was reportedly moderately injured. No injuries were reported for Kraft. The injured were taken from the scene by ambulance to Liberty Hospital.
