A collision in Pettis County injured five people Friday evening.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports a vehicle on Grand Avenue driven by Rebecca Illif, 27, of St. Joseph, pulled into the path of a westbound vehicle on 65 Highway driven by Amber Mathes, 33, of St. Joseph. The collision caused Iliff’s vehicle to overturn. Illif was seriously injured, her passengers, Serenity Gallaway, 6, and Mikia Gallaway, 8, both of Concordia, suffered minor and moderate injuries respectfully. Passengers in the Mathes vehicle, Paige Edwards, 12, and Phaylyn Edwards, 7, sustained minor injuries.
Mikia was airlifted to Children’s Mercy Hospital. The remaining injured was treated at Bothwell Hospital.
