TRENTON, Mo. — A busy meeting is in store for city councilors in Trenton Monday evening.

Reports from council members will be heard before any members of the public address the council.

An ordinance will then be taken up to approve the purchase of a motor truck scale system, followed by ordinances to allow the mayor to execute agreements with MoDOT for various road projects within the city.

A general election will then be called for in an ordinance, set to be held on April 2, 2019, to elect a mayor to a four-year term and a single city councilor from each of the city’s four wards to two-year terms.

Council will then consider approving an electric rate study before an appointment is made to the building and nuisance board.

Discussion and possible approval of financing for the fire department training ground and tower will be brought forward before consideration is given to trash and recycle bids.

Council will then adjourn to a closed session.

The Trenton City Council will meet at Trenton City Hall at 7:00 p.m. Monday.
