SEDALIA, Mo. (AP) – A Sedalia man and woman have been charged with attempting to hire someone to kill the woman’s husband.
Pettis County prosecutors charged Terry Johnson, 45 and Wendy Sue McGinnis, 43 with conspiracy to commit first degree murder. Authorities say a confidential informant reported that McGinnis said she was willing to pay someone to kill her husband with money she would receive from his life insurance policy.
McGinnis allegedly admitted that she agreed to pay $25,000 to have her husband killed.
